Time: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Venue: Vrooman Seminar Room, DoA, BUET
After a lengthy gap, the Department of Architecture at BUET has resumed its “Alaap” lecture series. “Alaap,” which refers to casual talk in Bengali, is a DoA, BUET platform for discourse among experts, faculty, and students. It aims to widen the scope of academic activities through lectures delivered by academics, professionals, researchers, and specialists, followed by an interactive Q&A session. This casual forum enhances the academic curriculum of DoA and serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas. Ar. Imamur Hossain, an academician and researcher who is actively involved in the heritage sector and has led various initiatives concentrating on historical and cultural preservation in Bangladesh, was today’s guest speaker. We appreciate his comprehensive talk on his current works, the heritage Conservation project, and photogrammetry. To make it accessible online, the session was also live-streamed on the Facebook page of Archnews. To make it available online, the session was live telecast on social media as well. The lecture was concluded by handing over a small token of appreciation to the speaker by the Head of the Department Prof. Dr. Zakiul Islam.
