Md. Mizanur Rahman is an Architect and Academic, working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) since 2017, and a former faculty member of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). He completed his Master of Arts in Architecture at Dessau International Architecture, DIA, under Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Germany in 2014 and a Bachelor of Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, BUET, in 2008.  Mizan is interested in Building Information Modelling (BIM), Data Analytics and Software development in Python, Scripting Based Computer Modelling, and Digital Fabrication. He has developed courses on Building Information Modelling in Architecture and Algorithmic Thinking in Design for postgraduate and undergraduate levels, respectively, and introduced Rhino, Grasshopper, ARCHICAD, and Python programming in architecture education. Mizan’s focus on Computational Architecture encourages him to run a group, [S.O.F.T] lab, and conduct digital field workshops with like-minded faculty and students in the industry.
