Department of Architecture (DoA), BUET Workshop on "Blended Learning Model for Bangladesh: International Best Practices and Collaboration Opportunities"

The Department of Architecture (DoA), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) organised a day-long Workshop on "Blended Learning Model for Bangladesh: International Best Practices and Collaboration Opportunities" on February 19, 2025, at the Department. 17 Faculty members from the department actively participated in the event.

The main objectives of this workshop were to explore innovative approaches to blended learning models, highlighting international best practices and opportunities for collaboration, with a particular focus on advancing architectural education in Bangladesh.

The workshop commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Md Ashikur Rahman Joarder, Workshop Director. The sessions were conducted by Dr. Fahmid Ahmed, an Architect, Academic, and Researcher currently serving as the Education Partnerships Coordinator (Systems and Project Support) at Technical and Further Education, Government of South Australia (TAFE SA). He is also a distinguished alumnus of the Department of Architecture, BUET.

The Workshop was facilitated by Ms. Dipannita Nandi, Lecturer, DoA, BUET. The workshop ended with a vote of thanks from Prof. Dr. S M Najmul Imam, Head, DoA, BUET.

This workshop was a pivotal step toward enhancing architectural education at BUET and fostering collaborations that will strengthen academic endeavours. The sessions provided an invaluable opportunity to explore international best practices and to discuss avenues for meaningful partnerships between TAFE SA and the Department of Architecture, BUET.
