We are pleased to announce that BUET Design Team's entry entitled "Agro.ing City" has won the award in "Community and Socially Resilient Design" in the Designing Resilience in Asia (DRIA) 2020/21, an International Student Competition and Symposium. The team consists of Sadrila Abbasi, Rakesh Sharma, Fahmidur Rahman, Maisha Labiba Nahian, and Afra Anan Saba of Level- 5, Term- 1 ('15 batch). The proposal was also being awarded the honorable mention in the other two categories of "Best Regenerative and Mitigation Design" and "Best Resilient Building Technology Design." Department of Architecture, BUET has organized and hosted a day long International Seminar & Workshop ‘ARCHITECTURE FOR THE DISPLACED: Exploring Interventions for Sustainable and Resilient Communities’ on 12 April 2019, Friday at BUET, Dhaka. The workshop has explored the interventions that can help design inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable infrastructure for the displaced communities as Rohingya. The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK) was our organizing partner as well.
