With much pride we are sharing that one of our students from Department of Architecture, BUET, Taorem Sananu  (Student ID – 1501034) has won “The TOY ARCASIA 2022 GOLD Award” (Thesis of The Year Award) for her undergraduate thesis, “Blurring The Line: Rejuvenating Entrepreneurial potential to develop the socio-economic scenario of urban slum,” which she completed in her final year (Level 5, Term 2). Department of Architecture, BUET will arrange an exhibition on student projects, from 2nd September 2022 to 4th September 2022 at the department premises. The event will be inaugurated by the honorable Vice Chancellor of BUET-  Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder at 4:30 pm on the 2nd of September. It will continue from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm on the following days. The exhibition will showcase the student projects from various levels of the January 2022 session, ranging from single functional experiential spaces to macro-level urban Planning solutions. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony for ‘Bangladesh Lamps Limited (BLL), and Department of Architecture (DoA, BUET) Collaboration Programme (2022-2023)’ was held on 22 May 2022 in Vrooman room, DoA. The signing ceremony was graced by Professor Dr. Ishrat Islam, Honourable Dean, Faculty of Architecture and Planning. We are pleased to announce that BUET Design Team's entry entitled "Agro.ing City" has won the award in "Community and Socially Resilient Design" in the Designing Resilience in Asia (DRIA) 2020/21, an International Student Competition and Symposium.
